Barbara and the extended Mahoney Family-
As you probably know, we lost my mother, Jean, later the same week that Danno died. She was on her deathbed when we heard the news about Danno. She died never knowing that one of her favorite cousins succumbed just days before she did. I know she would have been devastated and deeply saddened by the news. Saddened as we all are. I remember with great fondness all the times spent at the Mahoney farm as a young boy and how welcoming everyone of the Mahoney's was to me from Mary and Francis down to and including Danno, Kathleen, Jim, and Lorna. I remember in particular one bumpy ride through the cornfields in a pickup truck with Danno at the wheel. It was such a joyful moment, although the joy probably wasn't shared by Francis when he found out. I will always remember Danno that way, bigger than life and fun loving. My condolences to you all. I find some solace in knowing Danno was there to ease my mother's journey to the next life.

The loss of a really dear friend is very sad. Danno accomplished many things in his lifetime and will be remembered very special by us. We enjoyed many good times with him and Barbara in Minnesota and Arizona. He served our country proudly. We visited him in Monterey while we both were in the military.
We sadly say our goodby to a wonderful classmate and friend.
