Danyele Marie Johnson (Otey), aka Jack age 38 of Ironton passed away on January 13, 2018.

Danyele was born on September 26, 1979 in Oxnard, CA to Michael and Dawn (Reist) Otey.  Danyele attended Meadow Creek Christian School, graduating in 1997.  She later Attended Bethel University.  Danyele was employed by Cuyuna County Auto Center where she was an ASE Certified Service Consultant/Mechanic for over 8 years.  She was more recently employed by Heartwood Senior Living Community in their Culinary Department.

Preceding Danyele in death are Henry Reist, Marguerite Reist, Kenneth Otey, Joel Luther Formo and Kyle Lawrence Formo.

Danyele is survived by NaTasha Formo, life partner (Ironton); Daymin Johnson and Riley Johnson (Ironton) from a previous marriage to Slade Johnson (Pequot Lakes), Joelle Formo  (Ironton); her parents, Michael and Dawn Otey of Floyds Knobs, IN; David and Lisa (Anderson) Otey (Cambridge); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

A favorite quote of Danyele’s was “To thine own self be true.”

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2017 at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Sunday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
