Kernan Peterschick age 62 of Fifty Lakes died on February 16, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 3, 1955 in Little Falls. Kernan married Jan Smith on April 11, 1986 in Maplewood. He was a retired engineer for “MaBell”, now known as Century Link with 34 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Kernan is survived by his wife, Jan; adopted father, Robert Peterschick of New Richmond, WI; one son, Evan (Cortni) Peterschick of Mesa, AZ; one daughter, Kami (Robert Dehn) Reisinger of Elk River; one sister, Teri (Jann Hillenbrand) Solinger of Burnsville; five brothers, Kallan (Marianne) Peterschick of St. Paul, Kent (Mary Beth) Peterschick of Stillwater, Tim (Susan) Solinger of Des Moines, IA, Gordon Solinger of Titusville, FL and Paul (Gena Tabatt) Solinger of Big Lake; four grandchildren, Abegail, Madelyn, Kallie and Crosby; his pets Roxie and Rory “The Magic Cat”.
Preceding Kernan in death are his mother, Iola Peterschick; one daughter, Alexa Peterschick, a grandson, Caleb Dehn, biological father, Peter Solinger and step mother, Joanne Solinger.
Funeral services will 11:00 am on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Crosslake Log Church in Crosslake (37218 County Rd 66). Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. If so desired memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice or Make a Wish Minnesota
