Margaret A. “Peggy” Meyer age 88 of Crosby died on January 9, 2018 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.  She was born in Brainerd on November 2, 1929 to Nels and Mary (Kealey) Jacobsen.  She graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1947 and then attended the Crosby Junior College.  Peggy married Herman Meyer on October 28, 1950 in Crosby.  Her past employment was with E.W. Hallett Construction and American Family Insurance in Crosby. Peggy was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, the National Society of Catholic Foresters, St. Mary’s Court 854, since 1948, a longtime member of the Family Care Center Council of the Cuyuna Regional Care Center, the Cuyuna Civic League.  Peggy was very proud of growing up in Cuyuna and her Irish/Norwegian ancestory.

Peggy is survived by one son, Thomas (Carol) Meyer of Baxter; two daughters, Susan (Barry) Osell of Mountain Iron, MN and Nancy (Robert) Totsch of Park Ridge, IL; and six grandchildren, Jacob Osell, Bridget and Anna Totsch, Patrick Meyer, Amy Meyer and Sarah Meyer.

Preceding Peggy in death are her parents and her husband Herman in 1994.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
