Richard E. Anderson age 88 of Crosby died November 19, 2016 at his home.  He was born on June 27, 1928 in Crosby to Elmer and Alice (Cunningham) Anderson.  He graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1946. He was a U.S. Korean Army veteran. Richard received his BA degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in business and journalism in 1952.  He was a retired typesetter with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Brainerd Dispatch.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton.

Richard is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Hanley of Fort Meyers, FL; a sister-in-law, Margaret Anderson of Medford, WI; and twelve nieces and nephews.

Preceding Richard in death are his parents, one sister, Mary Jo Anderson and one brother, Robert Anderson.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
