Ronald G. Goedderz age 70 of Brainerd passed away on June 30, 2017 at his home where he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and raising his cattle. He was born on July 16, 1946 in Hibbing to Phillip and Kathryn (Valencich) Goedderz.

Ronald was a wonderful man who provided for his family, sharing love, support, strength, knowledge, sense of humor and wisdom.  He enjoyed the outdoors and farming on his hobby farm.  Ronald was a U.S. army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee of Potlatch and Wausau Paper Mill in Brainerd.  He was also a former employee of both Scorpion Snowmobile, Crosby and Clow Stamping, Merrifield.  He will be forever missed and will hold a special place in our hearts and the memories will never be forgotten

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Cheri (Trevor) Sypnieski; son, Gabriel Goedderz; step-daughter, Heidi Lundgren; seven grandchildren, Lataya Goedderz, Ryland Sypnieski, Gavin Goedderz, Briar Rose Sypnieski, Lief Goedderz, Tyler Rono, and Tashia Rono; four great grandchildren and his siblings, Cheryl (Lee) Dammann, Jim (Iris) Goedderz, Richard Goedderz, Phil (Trish) Goedderz, Bob Goedderz, Mary Lou Oster and Brenda Walker.

Preceding Ronald in death are his wife Lorena; one brother, Roger; his parents, Kathryn and Phil Goedderz and a granddaughter, Teala Piper Goedderz.

A memorial gathering will be held for Ron and his wife Lorena on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm with military honors by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton.
