Steven John “Choik” Perpich, age 72 of Crosby died on March 9, 2024 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born in Crosby on February 9, 1952 to John and Betty (Johnson) Perpich. He married Connie DeCent on February 27, 1982 in Crosby. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the city of Crosby with 29 years of service. He served as a Crosby fireman for 25 years. Choik was also a former Burlington Northern Railroad employee with 13 years of service. He was an avid sportsman and loved spending time with family.
Choik is survived by his wife Connie; two sons, Steven (Erica) Perpich of Ironton and Nickolas Perpich of Deerwood; one daughter, Stephanie Perpich (Dustin Cummings) of Crosby; two brothers, Thomas (Cindy) Perpich of Deerwood and Charles (Brenda) Perpich of Virginia; two sisters, Julie Perpich of Little Falls and Sandra (Denny) Davis of Crosby; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Choik in death are his parents and one sister Kathleen Middleton.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2023 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
