Alfred Harry Hindermann Sr. age 88 of Crosby died on March 4, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Fort Ridgley, Minnesota on September 23, 1930 to Harry E. and Clara (Hogan) Hindermann. From 1952 to 1953 he served in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the Korean Conflict. Alfred married Carolee Myers on February 21, 1955 in New Ulm. He retired in 1981 from American Artstone where he was a Silo Builder. They moved to Deerwood in 1985. Alfred was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Deerwood.
Alfred is survived by three sons, Harry Hindermann of Shakopee, Michael (Deb) Hindermann of Doon, IA, and Alfred (LaVonne) Hindermann Jr. of Hutchinson; three daughters, Debra Rustman of Alexandria, Theresa Felsheim of Brainerd and Joy (Brett) Smith of Baxter; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding Alfred in death are his parents; his wife, Carolee in 1999; great granddaughter, JaLysa Cook; daughter-in-law, Beth Hindermann; an infant sister, Anna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Merle Marstone, Bernice and Howard Hartmann; mother and father-in-law, Daniel and Bernice Myers; sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller; and brothers-in-law, Clarence and Duane Myers.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557, Deerwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
