Edward John Vukelich age 73 of Crosby died at his home on March 18, 2019. He was born
on August 10, 1945 in Crosby to George and Mary (Radinovich) Vukelich. Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. A member and a past Commander of the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 of Deerwood. A former City of Crosby Counsel member for 12 years. Ed was a retired City of Deerwood employee with 22 years of service.
Ed is survived by his fiancé, Pam Erickson of Crosby; daughter, Debra Vukelich of Aitkin; six brothers, George (Sue) Vukelich Jr. of Deerwood, James (Lollie) Vukelich of Pillager, Joseph (Debbie) Vukelich of Princeton, Frank (Kathy) Vukelich of White Salmon, WA, Greg (Denise) Vukelich of Emily and John (Amy) Vukelich of Deerwood; five sisters, Dorothy Vukelich, Dolly
(Rick) Ferrari and Rita Meyer all of Crosby, Jeanne (David) Shaw of Duluth and Patty Vukelich of Crosby; and two grandchildren.
Preceding Ed in death are his parents and three sisters, Barbara Casper, Katie Grossell and Clara Vukelich.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military rites given by the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
