Glen Earl Gutzman age 92 of Deerwood died on April 9, 2018 at his home. He was born in Crosby on June 21, 1925 to Frank and Ida (Brueske) Gutzman. Glen was Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII and Korea. Glen was one of the co-founders of Trail-A-Sled, Scorpion Snowmobiles. Later he was co-owner of Glen Roy Feeders, a cattle ranch in northwest Minnesota. Glen was an entrepreneur. He owned and operated Savannah Fairways, Range Redi Mix and Brainerd Redi Mix.
Glen is survived by his wife Judy; one son, Joel “Sherm” (Carla) Gutzman of Deerwood;
Daughters, Sue (Chris) Steinke of Ironton and Pam Lindroth of Denver, CO; step son,
Jeffery Tibbetts of Denver, CO; step daughter, Gina (Jon) LaFlamme of Fort Mill, SC; five grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
Preceding Glen in death are his parents; one son, Timothy Gutzman; two brothers, Albert and Douglas Gutzman; two sisters, Eleanor Miller and Donna Hunt.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Sharing of Memories will be at 3:00 p.m. Military Honors will be given by the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557, Deerwood. A Reception will follow at the Deerwood Legion.
