Harold George Moritz

Harold George Moritz, age 94 of Emily died on October 25, 2019 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.  He was born on November 10, 1924 in Ross Lake Township to George and Ida (Bodle) Moritz.  Harold was a retired Inland Steel Employee and a retired local logger.  He was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Emily.

Harold is survived by one son, Randy (Nancy) Moritz of Emily; three daughters, Bonnie (Jerry) Wynn of Isle, Vickie (Pete) Peterson of Brainerd and Margaret Moritz of Emily; one brother, Walter (Eileen) Moritz of Embarrass; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Preceding Harold in death are his parents; his wife, Babe; one granddaughter, Rikki Hamilton; one brother, Herbert Moritz and two sisters, Frances Glidden and Bea Valentino.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at The Wesleyan Church in Emily.  Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with full military rites given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
