Joyce Beverly Trefethen

Joyce B. Trefethen, age 92 of Crosby died at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby on January 1, 2020.  She was born on January 1, 1928 in Minneapolis to Leonard and Alma (Rasmussen) Anderson.  Joyce married Elmer Trefethen on September 28, 1946 in St. Paul.  She was a retired LPN at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center and volunteered at the care center as an accompanist for the Sing-a-longs.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and St. Joseph’s CCW.  Joyce served as a past secretary for the Be Nay She Bird Club in Brainerd.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Elmer; three sons, David (Jane) Trefethen of Monticello, Thomas (Helen) Trefethen of Webb Lake, WI, and John (Kathleen) Trefethen of Eden Prairie;

One daughter, Patricia (James) Goke of St. Cloud; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Preceding Joyce in death are her parents; and one brother Leonard Anderson Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.  Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
