Mary Jane Johnson age 73 of Crosby died on October 16, 2017 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on September 26, 1944 in Plainview to Ernest and Christina (Kohn) Anderson.  Mary lived in Hayfield, MN when she got married she moved to Sargeant.  In 1977 she moved to Spring Valley/Cherry Grove, MN.  In the late 1990’s she moved to her lake home in Garrison.  Then in 2000 she lived in Brainerd and in 2007 she moved to Crosby.

Mary is survived by two sons, LeRoy (Wendy) Johnson of LeRoy, Tim (Laura) Johnson of Kasson; two daughters, Kim (Rick) Ptacek of Spring Valley and Cindy (Mike) Schmitz of Ironton; three sisters, Janice (Jim) Karls of Rochester, Joan Smerud of Austin and Patty (Bob) Faulhaber of Hayfield; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She will be missed most by her cat “Daisy”; family and special friends, Sharon N., Betty, Norman, Linda, Sharon D. and her morning coffee crew.

Preceding Mary in death are her parents; one brother, Ron Anderson; one sister, Helen Mollenhauer and one infant son.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  A Memorial Gathering will also be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 3  to 7 pm at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley, MN.
