Maryetta Louise Andrews age 92 of Emily passed away at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby on January 5, 2018. She was born November 5, 1925 to Deward and Louise (Hughes) Hawley in Little Pine Township. Maryetta was a lifelong resident of the Emily and Crosby-Ironton areas. Many will remember her as the School Nurse for Crosby-Ironton High School and surrounding areas for years.  Maryetta received her nurses training when she joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp. during WWII. She was employed at the Miners Hospital in Crosby for many years before moving to take, and eventually retire from, the School Nurse position.  Maryetta enjoyed  her winters at her home in Arizona. She enjoyed traveling, oil painting, her tree farm wildlife adventures, writing poetry and short stories. She travelled to Ireland (and yes, she kissed the Blarney Stone), Scotland, Wales, England and Australia all after the age of 80.

She is preceded in death by 1st husband Dean Andrews, 2nd husband Bud Meacham; both of her children Scott Andrews, Sandra (Sandy) Battistini and three sisters, Wanda Hawley and Trilby Witter and Elda Miltz.

Maryetta is survived by daughter-in-law, Claudia Rohr Andrews and grandson Rory Andrews, son-in-law, Marc Battistini and granddaughters Marissa and Anna Battistini; her siblings, Faye Traynor, Lynn Glenn (Bill), Retha Hawley, Kris Olson, Richard Hawley (JoAnn) and Norman Hawley (Nan), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

A Memorial Gathering and Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
