Phyllis Fletcher Obituary

Phyllis M. Fletcher, age 91, of Emily died on June 27, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on September 15, 1927 in Crooked Lake Township to Philip and Mabel (Haarberg) Chenevert.  Phyllis married Virl E. Fletcher in Emily on October 8, 1948. Phyllis was a humble person who led a modest life.  Her life revolved around a large family and a small group of friends whom she cared about deeply.  She met life's many challenges with tenacity, integrity, and kindness.

 

Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Marjorie (Jim) Parks of Bayard, NE; five sons, Bruce (Paula) Fletcher of Emily, Ted (Sandy Dalton) Fletcher of McGrew, NE, Terry (Pat) Fletcher of Kimball, NE, Kenneth Fletcher of St. Paul and Edward (Sue) Fletcher of New Ulm; one brother, Vernon (Mary Lou) Chenevert of Remer and one sister, Mavis Berry of Eveleth; Fourteen grandchildren,  twenty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 

Preceding Phyllis in death are her parents; her husband, Virl; one son, Dale Fletcher; two grandchildren, Kyle Fletcher and Dale Fletcher Jr., and two brothers, Arthur and Edwin Chenevert.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Wesleyan Church in Emily. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
