Regina Irene “Jean” Leonhardt age 83 of Pierz formerly of Crosby died on April 7, 2017 at the Pierz Villa.  She was born on May 11, 1933 in East Union, MN to Charles and Irene (Madden) Strobel.  Jean graduated from the Academy of Good Council in Mankato, class of 1951.  She married John Leonhardt on August 28, 1954 in Jesseland Township, MN. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Jean enjoyed her family, camping, flower gardening and decorating weddings cakes. 

Jean is survived by her husband John; two sons, Chuck (Debbie) Leonhardt and Bob (Karla) Leonhardt all of Deerwood; two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Wagner of Glencoe and Shirley (Neil) Ogborn of Ironton; one brother, Don (Betty) Strobel of Henderson; two sisters, Elaine Winter of St. Cloud and Marion (Myron) Helget of Shakopee; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Preceding Jean in death are her parents; one daughter, Marion; one sister, Helen Moehring and a brother, Francis Strobel.

Funeral services will be 9:30 am on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Pierz Villa Chapel in Pierz.  Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Villa Chapel.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
