Robert Lee Crawford, 59, of Brainerd, died on May 24, 2018 at his son’s home surrounded by his family. He was born June 29, 1958, in Crosby, the son of Earl Dorseand Ella Beatrice (Orr) Crawford.
Bob was known as a great mechanic, an insanely hard worker, and a big softie, though he did his best to portray otherwise. He loved all things Johnny Cash and any other Country music that was all about doing it your own way and not caring what other people thought. He enjoyed watching wrestling and Westerns when he could.
He was a jack of all trades and taught himself how to be a logger, pig farmer, construction foreman, and a handyman in his short life. Even though he never had much, he would give whatever he had to help others. Towards the end of his life when he couldn’t do much, he would still mow his neighbors’ lawns that needed the help on his John Deere lawn tractor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life, Susan, and his siblings: Nancy, Otto, Joseph, and Sonny.
He is survived by his two sons, Brian and Bobby, his three daughters, Patty, Mary, and Britteny, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Deerwood Auditorium on Saturday, June 9th from 12-3 p.m..
