Anna B. Marr age 101 died on May 11, 2015 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on September 17, 1913 in Luverne, Iowa to Otto and May (Sankey) Ramus. Anna married Henry A. Marr on March 28, 1937 in Des Moines, IA. She was a retired housemother and counselor at the Sauk Centre Home School. Anna enjoyed gardening, reading and card clubs.
Survivors include a son, Raymond (Elaine Huselid) Marr of Burnsville; 1 daughter, Joyce (Dick) Houge of Deerwood; foster son, Everett Thorn of Spirit Lake, IA; 3 sisters, Betty Wahrer of Urbandale, IA, Norma (Willis) Marshall of Algona, IA and Janice (Denny) Schulz of Mora; 4 grandchildren, Rodney (Joanne) Houge, Doug Houge, Brad Houge and Chris (Holly) Marr; 3 foster grandchildren, Todd (Eileen) Thorn, Jesse (Anita) Thorn and Lisa Blocker; 7 great grandchildren, 7 foster great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Henry; 1 brother, Bert Ramus; 4 sisters, Irene Schichtl, Virginia Sorensen, Velma Thorn and Gladys Jergenson.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 am on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre. A reception will follow at ElmerZ's in Sauk Centre. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
