Anna Schumann

Anna Schumann age 97 of Waupun , WI formerly of Garrison, MN died at the Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun, WI. She was born on June 7, 1914 in Dane, WI to George and Anna (Froatz) Heid. She married Harland H. Schumann on August 5, 1933 in Arnold, WI. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Garrison, MN and the Garrison VFW Post #1816 Auxiliary and RSVP at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd, MN. Anna enjoyed crocheting lap robes for the elderly in the area hospital. Anna is survived by her guardian and grandson, John (Nelda) Machkovech, Beaver Dam, WI; Her sons, Harland (Judith) Schumann, Mayville, WI; William (Karen) Schumann, Horicon, WI; and James (Laurie) Schumann of Juneau, WI; 4 additional grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Anna is preceded in death by her parents; husband in February of 1992; daughter, Carol Ann Machkovech, son-in-law, Robert Machkovech, siblings, Jack, George and Edward Heid, Cecilia Birdsall, Marie Sybers and Lucille Meade. Funeral services will be 11 am on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison, MN. Burial will be at the Garrison Community Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, 1 hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, MN.
