Anthony Joseph "Tony" Wasserbauer

Anthony Joseph "Tony" Wasserbauer age 68 Crosby died on December 28, 2014 at his home. He was born on November 4, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Lillian (Kuta) Wasserbauer Jr. He married Tomoko Okawa on July 1, 1969 in Sapparo, Japan. Tony moved to Crosby in 1982 from Chicago. He was a Vietnam US Air Force veteran serving our country from 1966 to 1973. He was a life member and founder of Amvet Post #26. A life member of DAV post #22, the VFW, the National Order of Trench Rats and the 1-194 Tank Regiment. Tony was an area Small Business owner and General Contractor for 30 years.
Tony is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tomoko; 2 sons, Mark (Norma) Wasserbauer of Duluth and John Wasserbauer of Crosby; 1 daughter, Judy Conner of Aitkin; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby with military honors. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls 2pm on Monday. Visitation will be Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 3 to 6 pm with a rosary at 5:30 pm.
