Arnold G. "Arnie" Johnson

Arnold G. “Arnie” Johnson, age 86 of Crosby, passed away on August 20, 2026 at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Brainerd on September 7, 1939 to Herman and Lavina (Klappenbach) Johnson.

Arnie was a Minnesota National Guard veteran serving from 1956 to 1964. He was a former Crosby Police Officer. He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton.

Arnie is survived by his son, Vint (Audrey) Gaard-Johnson of St. Paul; his daughter, Shelley (Cal) Midthun of Crosby; one brother, Lynden Johnson of Little Falls; five grandchildren, Eric (Anya) Johnson, Cole (Madison) Midthun, Megan (Wes) Caple, Karl (Paige Anderson) Johnson and Tanner (Kaitlin Donato) Midthun; two great grandchildren, Avery Johnson and Chase Caple; nieces and nephews

Preceding Arnie in death are his parents; and two brother, Stanley Johnson and Dennis Johnson.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby on Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m.
