Arthur L. "Art" Patterson

Arthur Lloyd “Art” Patterson, age 81 of Emily died on March 26, 2022 at Whitefish on the Lake in Crosslake. Born in Minneapolis on April 9, 1940 to James and Constance (Dimler) Patterson.  Art married Mary Fox on October 24, 1975.  He loved living on Ruth Lake in Emily.

He Co-authored a book, Butterflies of Minnesota.  In 2007 he was inducted into the St. Louis Park High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Art is survived by his wife Mary; two sons, Jason Patterson of Brooklyn Park, and Eric (Chamonix) Patterson of Aliso Viejo, CA; one brother, Joe (Bobbi) Patterson of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceding Art in death are his parents; brothers, Jim and Chuck Patterson and one sister, Virginia Patterson.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Sharing of Memories at 2:30 p.m.  A reception will be held at the Myrin-James American Legion Post following service.
