Arthur Donald Smith Sr. age 83 of Crosby formerly of Two Harbors died on November 21, 2015 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on February 22, 1932 in Confluence, PA to James and Bertha (Rowan) Smily. He married Lillian Ruberg on April 2, 1955 in Two Harbors. He was a US Army Korean War veteran. He was a former construction worker with Huncan-Arundel-Dixon Company and a retired mechanics helper with Benna Ford, Two Harbors. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors, The Harbor Mates Club, the American Legion, and the Two Harbor Woodcarvers.
Survivors include 1 son, Arthur (Julie) Smith Jr. of Centreville, VA; 2 daughters, Donna (Jim) Radinovich of Cuyuna and Wendy (Jim) Chirhart of Crosby; 1 brother, James "Bud" (Berdine) Smith of Confluence, PA and 1 sister, Shirley Uphold of Fontana, CA; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Art is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian, an infant daughter; five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
