78, of Fifty Lakes, MN formerly of St. Louis Park, MN; Sun Lakes, and Gold Canyon, AZ. Passed away on July 5, 2014.
Survived by her husband of 58 years, LeRoy; Son, Michael (Jan) Freiborg; daughter, Lynn (John) Bury. Cherished grandchildren; Ashley and Kirsten Freiborg, Victoria Barrett, Step-grandson; Christopher (Kayla) Bury, Step-great granddaughters Brooklyn and Jocelyn; Brothers Joseph R. (Virginia) Lofrano, and Spencer (Marlene) Lofrano, Aunt Isabelle Camadeca, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by parents; Joseph F. and Elizabeth M. Lofrano; and sister, Carmella Diane.
Barb was born November 13, 1935 in Chicago, IL. In 1938 her family moved to Minneapolis where she attended the Basilica of St. Mary until 9th grade. In 1949 her family moved to St. Louis Park; where she graduated from in 1953. She married LeRoy, her high school sweetheart on June 30, 1956.
Over the years, Barb was active in Park Knoll Garden Club, Twin City Herb Society, the St. Louis Park Fireman's Wives Auxiliary, and United Methodist Women. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling, entertaining, bridge, and square dancing. Her biggest sources of joy were her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials preferred to the family. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
