Bernice Ellen Larson

Bernice Ellen Larson, age 102 of Longville, formerly of Hopins passed away peacefully after a short illness on January 13, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on July 29, 1917 in Minneapolis to Hilding and Theresa (Skoglund) Orterstrom.  Bernice loved living in Longville close to her chick-a-dees after her retirement.

Bernice is survived by two sons, David Larson and Gregg (Bev) Larson; three grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Larson, Brian Larson and Janine (Joe) Petersen and four great grandchildren, Derek, Kurt, Hazel and Vivian; and many other special relatives and friends.

Preceding Bernice in death are her husband, Don; daughter-in-law, Linda Larson and one brother, Alden Orterstrom.

A private family service is being planned.  If desired memorials are preferred to the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Charitable Fund, 320 East Main Street, Crosby, MN 56441.  Funds will be designated to continue nursing education.  Bernice’s family sends a special thank you to the Caring Staff at CRMC.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
