Betty Ann Mcconnell

Betty Ann McConnell, age 89 of Crosby died on October 16, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born on November 29, 1931 in Dairyland, WI to Roy and Anna (Gross) Fischer.  Betty married Richard McConnell on February 7, 1950 in Superior, WI.

She was a retired property owner/manager in the Superior area and formerly owned B & J’s Bar in Foxboro, WI.  She moved to the Crosby area in 2012.  Along with her own endeavors, Betty enjoyed sharing her husband’s military career.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Sebrina (Daniel) Van Nurden of Aitkin and two grandchildren.

Preceding Betty in death are her parents; husband Richard and one sister, Fanny Sylvester.

A Graveside service will be held 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  A Memorial Gathering will be 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
