Bruce E. Nelson

Bruce E. Nelson, age 80 of Crosby died on November 28, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born on September 26, 1940 in Minneapolis to Glen and Catherine (Shidla) Nelson. He was a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran and was a life member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  Bruce was a former Crosby-Ironton School Bus Driver and a former property manager for the Ironton Terrace.

Bruce is survived by four sons, Jeff (Caron) Grussendorf of Maple Grove, Dave Grussendorf of Chaska, Jody (Jodi) Grussendorf of Ramsey and Bud (Lisa) Vipperman of Ironton; one daughter, Julie (Jerry Schesso) Collins of Shakopee; one brother, Guy (Mari) Nelson of Aitkin and one sister Sandi Sayler of Chaska; special banter, Mike Kullhem; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding Bruce in death are his parents; wife Nancy; and two sisters, Fran Warhol and Janice Kittleson.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Military Honors will be presented at 3:45 p.m.  Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
