Carol Jean Nygard

Carol Jean Nygard, age 75 of Crosby died on June 21, 2020 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.  She was born on August 16, 1944 in Crosby to Leonard and Mildred (Nord) Nygard. Carol married Dennis Kagel on July 14, 1962 in Crosby.  She worked with John and Mary Kay Papenfuss at Papa John’s Pizza for many years.  She retired from the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby from medical records. After Carol retired her priority was taking care of spoiling her grandkids.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Kerie Kagel of Brainerd and Tracey Tuper of Crosby; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding Carol in death are her parents; one son, Joe Kagel and one sister, Judy Thoms.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
