Catherine Coleman "Katie" Meyer

Catherine Coleman “Katie” Meyer, age 94 of Richfield passed away at her home on January 24, 2025.  She was born in Minneapolis on February 23, 1930 to Einar and Catherine (Rood) Jorgensen.  Katie was united in marriage with Steven Meyer on October 5, 1954 in Minneapolis.

Katie was a 50-year member of the American Dietetic Association, providing services at Fairview Southdale.

Katie is survived by her children, Scott (Melody) Meyer of Galesville, WI, Greg (Diane) Meyer of Brainerd and Barbara Meyer of Richfield; her sister, Lois (Bob) Anderson of Richfield; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Katie in death are her parents and her husband, Steven Meyer.

A Memorial service is being planned for April.  To honor Katie’s love for dogs memorials are preferred to the Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART), 15494 Dellwood Drive, Brainerd, MN 56401.
