Charles Loren "Chuck" Braff

Charles Loren "Chuck" Braff age 68 of Crosby died at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby on Thursday, January 15, 2015. He was born in Cass Lake on November 23, 1946 to Loren and Margaret (Bosch) Braff. After graduating from the Crosby-Ironton High School he enlisted in the Air Force, serving time in Vietnam. Chuck was head custodian for the Crosby-Ironton School District for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He married Sharon Haukos on February 17, 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, watching sports, hunting trips to Montana with his step-sons and loved his 47 ford.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Paula (Bryon) Reinhart of St. Paul, and Michelle Boozell of LaValle, WI; two sons, Matthew Braff and Ben Braff both of Apple Valley; four grandchildren, five step children, Lisa Stangel, Troy Haukos, Richard Haukos, Craig Haukos and Bill Haukos; nineteen step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen (Tom "Tuck") Ringhand and Julie (Paul) Anderson both of Deerwood.

Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Pam in 2003 and his parents.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Assembly of God Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post of Ironton. Visitation will be on Friday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 8 pm and on Saturday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
