Charles Carey Lane

December 13, 1944 — February 25, 2022

Charles Carey Lane age 77 of Ironton formerly of Wichita Falls, TX died at the St. Cloud Hospital on February 25, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1944 in Pampa, TX to Chester and Gayle (Carey) Lane.  He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton, MN.  Charles married Kathleen Marie Bergsnev on June 18, 1988 in Greenbush, MN.   For 25 years he was a Psychiatric Social Worker in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Was a member and past president of the Brainerd area Amateur Radio Club (W5CCL), he was an ARES Weather Warn and a member of the public information communication organization.

Charles is survived by his wife Kathy; one son, Robert (Kelly) Lane of Allen, TX; one daughter, Genne (Drew) Pelto of Arlington, TX; two brothers, Alan (Kay) Lane of Decatur, TX and Richard (Andrea) Lane of Salt Lake City, UT; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Charles in death are his parents and one brother, Todd Lane.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a Sharing of Memories at 3:00 p.m. on  Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.  Full military honors will be given by Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  Service will be live streamed at YouTube Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, MN
