Charles Ralph “Chuck” Wynn Sr., age 93 of Crosby, passed away on May 18, 2026 at his home at Heartwood. He was born on June 13, 1932 in Little Pine Township to Gailand and Ferne (Miles) Wynn, he was the oldest of 12 children. Charles married Marlene Griesbach on September 22, 1951 in Winona. Charles and Marlene had a family of eight. Early in their marriage, they lived in Winona and La Crosse, WI before moving to the Crosby/Deerwood area.

Charles served in the U.S. Army as a cook and then served in the National Guard. He worked as a shoemaker’s helper in Winona. After moving to the Crosby area, he worked as a police officer, auto mechanic for Carney Middleton Ford and as a heavy equipment mechanic for Anderson Brothers Construction. Charles also owned his own auto repair shop in Crosby. He concluded his career at Riverwood, traveling the world setting up their machines. He was a Crosby Fireman for 20 years of service.

Charles enjoyed hunting in his early years, but his passion was his vegetable garden, flowers and wood working.

Charles is survived by his wife of 74 years, Marlene; his children, Linda (Terry) Husser, Karen (Bob) Anderson, Chuck (Joan) Wynn, Ron (Sue) Wynn, Kathy (Jeff) Langie, Jim (Shellie) Wynn, Diane Wynn and Richard Wynn; his siblings, Wayne Wynn, Elaine Beatty, Gail Lappala, Martha Bomaster, and Ronda Miller and twelve grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Preceding Charles in death are his parents, Gailand and Ferne; brothers, Vernon, Paul, and Roy Wynn; sisters Elsie James, Pauline Ziegler and Edna Lindahl and one grandson, Matthew.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13th at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  All are welcome to attend. Full military honors will be presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443.  Following the burial a Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
