Charline Annabelle Oreskovich

October 22, 1916 — November 2, 2013

Charline A. Oreskovich age 97 of Deerwood, surrounded by her children, beautiful, bright and independent went to be with Jesus Christ early on November 2nd just ten day after her 97th birthday. Charline had been living in the same lake home that had been built in 1958 by her late husband, Victor Oreskovich. Victor passed away in 1986. Staying in her home was a primary wish of Charline's. Charline's seven children worked together to honor this wish. This home is where much of Charline's large family had spent summer days throughout the years swimming in the waters of Serpent Lake. Most recently this went on to include her great, great grandchildren. Charline always enjoyed having guests and she was happiest when her front yard was full of tents and her grandchildren were busy playing games outside. Such a strong and amazing woman, Charline would insists on baking a pan of her "famous" cinnamon rolls whenever family or friends were coming to visit. She struggled to do this even into her last year while her body was failing and causing her much pain. For those that knew Charline best, milk toast was another treat much looked forward to. Charline loved life and always had the spirit of a much younger woman. She enjoyed playing cards late into the night with her guests. Trips with her daughters to the casino to play penny slots often went late into the evening as well. Recent rides with her sons on motorcycles and in sports cars were a thrill right to the end. She was a member of the Crosby-Ironton Presbyterian Church and the Revecca Lodge, serving as a past worthy matron.

She is survived by 3 sons, Richard "Chuck" Oreskovich of Trommald, Kim (Wendy Rose) Oresovich of Trommald and Victor "Keith" Oreskovich of Prior Lake; 4 daughters, Judith (David) Karnowski of New Brighton, Marleys (David) Hicks of Ironton, Mardell (Richard) Blom of Crosby and Sandra (John) Freeman of Deerwood; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Victor; grandson, David Karnowski; great grandchild, Annika Nilson and 1 brother, Leslie Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday, November 7th at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby
