Clarice Borghild (Kess) Wolhart age 82 of Deerwood died on October 13, 2012 at her home. She was born January 25, 1930 at the family farm near Roseau, MN, the 7th child of Nils and Anne Nyland. She was a graduate of Roseau High School in 1947 and moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a secretary. She met and married Robert Cain in 1948 and they had 2 daughters, Jackie and Gwen. After she and Robert divorced, she met Forrest Wolhart and they were married on August 8, 1959 in St. Louis Park, MN. The family moved to Iowa where Clarice worked at various administrative and banking positions. She and Forrest made many friends while in Iowa who enjoyed her cooking and parties. After the girls were grown, Clarice and Forrest moved back to Minneapolis. Clarice worked at a bank downtown making many friends at work and in the neighborhood. They moved to Phoenix in 1986, and then to Bullhead City, Arizona where Clarice worked in a casino gift shop and again she and Forrest made many friends there. They shared a home with sister Ruth until her death, and then moved back to Minnesota to be near family. After winterizing the cabin Clarice and Forrest made their home on Lake Placid year round where they again made many friends. Clarice has enjoyed her 6 grandchildren and she also had 11 great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, hostess, and enjoyed crafts, creating many knitted projects and jewelry. She was a first-rate Scrabble player and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She and Forrest were active at Cascade United Methodist Church where, you guessed ita
