Curtis Arthur Hansen

Curtis Arthur Hansen age 86 of Bay Lake died on January 5, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on May 16, 1927 in Minneapolis to Arthur F. and Edith A. (Carlson) Hansen. He married Ruth Margaret Carlson on June 6, 1953 in Crosby. Together with his father they operated Hansen Radiator in Minneapolis until 1975. He was owner and operator of Hansen's Store on Bay Lake from 1944 until his death. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood and the Bay Lake Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth; 1 son, Dean Hansen of Bay Lake; 2 daughters; Lynn Hansen of Bay Lake and Diane (Greg) Meyer of Brainerd; 6 grandchildren; Kellee (Bud) Rossina, Kate Meyer, Michael Hansen, Jeff Hansen, Nikki Hansen and Stephanie Hansen.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 11 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Deerwood Scandia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 8 pm and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. If desired memorials are preferred to Bay Lake Environmental Fund or the Salem Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund.
