William Edward Dangers Sr. age 92 of Iron Hub died on January 30, 2011 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on December 2, 1918 in Rabbit Lake Township to Fred and Dora (Gruenhagen) Dangers. Bill married Laverne Marie Greenhagen on April 15, 1950 in Aitkin. He was a WWII army veteran. He was a retired employee of Pickands Mather Co, Hanna Mining and Pittsburg Pacific. Bill was also a former Scorpion Inc. employee and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iron Hub and served as a past chairman on the church board. He also served on the Rabbit Lake Township board for many years. Bill was an avid hunter and card player and he loved his four wheeler. Survivors include 3 sons, William Jr. "Bill" (Vicky) Dangers, Jerry Dangers and Don Dangers all of Iron Hub; 1 daughter, Linda (David) Danielson of Iron Hub; 2 granddaughters, Jill Dangers and Jennifer (Chris) Orpen; 1 great grandson, Owen. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Laverne in 1998, 1 brother, Fred C. Dangers, 5 sisters, Martha Goede, Dorothy Fellerman, Lydia Fellerman, Marie McCormick and Esther Peterson; and 1 brother, Arthur "Sam" Dangers. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Thursday, February 3rd at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iron Hub. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Iron Hub. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 7 pm and at the church 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday.
