Deborah Jane Johnson

Deborah Jane Johnson, age 69 of Crosby, died peacefully on June 3, 2021 at her home.  She was born on January 9, 1952 in Brainerd to Richard and Vietta (Rider) Rude.  She married William D. Johnson on February 14, 1971 in Crosby.  She attended school in Crosby and Brainerd.

Deborah came from a large family and was the oldest of six, she was known for being funny, patient and a great listener. Deb loved being a grandmother, gave amazing hugs, was a pushover at bedtime and gave solid life advice.

Deborah is survived by her husband Bill; two sons, Bennett (Rebecca) Johnson of Onamia and Jacob (Johnna) Johnson of Cuyuna; one brother, Donald (LaVel) Rude of Crozet, VA; four sisters, Cynthia Tauzell of N. St. Paul, Theresa (Chris) Webber of Maple Grove, Rene’ (Mick) Lind of Crosby and Kimberly (Bruce) Clarke of Spring, TX; four grandchildren (Derek, Dusty, Ava & Svea) and one great grandchild, (Jesse) and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Deerstand in Deerwood.  Burial was at the Scandia Cemetery in Deerwood.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
