Derek Lee "Buddy" Brown

Derek Lee “Buddy” Brown, age 44 of Crosby died on September 23, 2023 at his home after a battle with cancer.  He was born in Crosby on June 30, 1979 to August and Juanita (Erickson) Brown.

Buddy loved people and the outdoors, always carving wood and doing art work.  He loved nature and riding his electric scooter through the bike trails.  He cared about everyone he met, always with a big smile.  He will be sadly missed by many.

Buddy is survived by his mother, Juanita Brown of Crosby; his brother, Luke Erickson (Jody Corey) and his sister, Tandy Brown; nephews Joey and Willy Erickson; an aunt, Wanda Sullivan; cousins, Charles Erickson, LeRoy, Angie and Mary Sullivan all of the White Earth area; and many other relatives from White Earth and Crosby area.

Preceding Buddy in death are his father, August Brown; grandparents, Augustus and Mabel Brown, LeRoy and Bertha Erickson and his great grandmother, Mary Erickson.

No services are being held.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
