Diane Marie Bjerkness

Diane Marie Bjerkness age 49 of Crosby died at Methodist Hospital in Rochester on March 5, 2013. She was born on May 10, 1963 in Little Falls, MN to LeRoy and Betty (Zuelich) Pettit. Diane graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School Class of 1981. She married Marty Bjerkness on June 6, 1987 in Garrison. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Survivors include her husband Marty; 1 son, Lee Bjerkness of Duluth; 1 daughter, Jody (Brandon) DeCent of Crosby; her mother, Betty Pettit of Deerwood; 2 brothers, Dan (Dawn) Pettit of Brainerd and Bill (Jeanette) Pettit of Loveland, CO; twin sister, Joanne (Bruce) Jarvela of Trommald; and 1 grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, LeRoy and 1 brother, John Pettit. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 2 to 5 pm and on Monday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
