Donovan "Don" Lee Olson

Donovan “Don” Olson, age 88 of Andover formerly of Deerwood, passed away on February 15, 2026. He was born in Minneapolis on January 13, 1938 to Leo and Sybil (Johnson) Olson. Don was united in marriage to Darlene Taylor on January 2, 1965 in Duluth.

Don is survived by his wife Darlene; his children, Nancy (Rick) Ringel of Blaine and Christi (Leonard) Haupert of Coon Rapids; Michael (Debra) Olson of Ham Lake; one brother, Thomas (Julia) Olson of Minnetonka; sister-in-law, Anne Olson of New Richmond, WI; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Don in death are his parents; one sister, Joan Ganseveld and one brother, Earl Olson.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Glen Cary Lutheran Church in Ham Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
