Dorothy Matthews age 91 of Crosby died November 5, 2013 at Aitkin Health Services. She was born on August 7, 1922 in Ironton to George and Mary (Lunchira) Martin. She married Robert "Bob" John Matthews on February 14, 1942 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Serbian Sisters.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Marilyn (Richard) Hesch of Aitkin, Roberta "Bobbie" Smolin of Princeton, MA, and Debra (John) Johnson of Buffalo; 1 sister, Ann Murphy of Deerwood; 2 brothers, Mike Martin of Ironton, Chester (Phyllis) Martin of Crosby; step brothers, Robert Polich and Denny (Laurie) Polich all of Deerwood; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; Step mother, Violet Martin; her husband Robert; 1 brother, Robert G. Martin; 1 step brother, Clifford Polich and 1 step sister, Rose Satovich; and Son-in-law, David T. Russell.
Funeral services will be 11:30 am on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday.
