Ellen Peterson age 89 of Crosby died on Jan. 1, 2011 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Feb. 10, 1921 in Cuyuna to Peter and Milka (Magdich) Magdich. She married Eric Peter Peterson on Sept. 14, 1942 in Minneapolis. She is a retired employee of Central Lakes Medical Center with 20 years of service. Survivors include, 1 son, Peter Peterson of Champlin; 3 daughters, Nancy Risser of Bend, Oregon, Melanie Lundquist of Deerwood and Kathy (Gary) Thompson of Champlin; Son-in-law, David Peterson of Temple, TX; brother, Steve (Marsha) Jelencich of Cuyuna; Sister, Katie Perpich of Ironton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Magdich of San Diego, CA; brother-in-law, David Brown of Lillian, Alabama; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eric; 1 daughter, Faith Peterson; 3 brothers, Steve,
John and Emil Magdich; 3 sisters, Mary Nephew, Julia Maddux and Annie Brown; 2 sons-in-law, Gary
Lundquist and Daniel Risser.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday at the Bible Baptist Church in Crosby. Burial will be
at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Koop Funeral Home
from 4 to 7 pm and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
