Elsie Pauline Harms age 75 of Iron Hub died on November 11, 2013 at her home. She was born in Brainerd to Laurence and Dorothy (Christenson) Stinson. Elsie grew up in the Bay Lake area. She graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School class of 1956. She married Howard Robert Harms on September 8, 1956 in Deerwood. She owned and operated Country Girl clothing store in Crosby in the early 80's. Over the years she was employed with Bare's Bootery in Aitkin Butlers in Aitkin, Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort and then retired from Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin in 2003. Elsie enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and redecorating.
Survivors include 1 son, Scott (Carmen) Harms of Forreston; 3 daughters, Penny (Alan) Harms Monroe of Aitkin, Sandra (David) Larson of Oak Ridge, TN, and Heidi (Jason) Price of Aitkin; 1 brother, Robert Stinson; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Harms, Kyle Larson, Austin, Nathan and Gabi Price; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Howard in 2007; and 1 daughter, Dorothy Harms.
Services will be 7 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Visitation will be from 5 pm until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Iron Hub 11 am Saturday. Following the committal Elsie's family will be having a Celebration of Life at Elsie's home.
