Franklin Olander

Franklin Olander age 85 of Perry Lake Township died on March 3, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born on August 21, 1930 in Brainerd to Olaf and Elda (Foote) Olander. Frank married Colleen Gordon on February 22, 1953 in Webster, SD. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 and 302 with 42 years of service.
Frank is survived by his wife Colleen; two sons, Mark (Lori) Olander of Eureka, CA and Scott (Kim) Olander of Crosby; three daughters, Diane Olander of Puyallup, WA, Connie Jo (Douglas) Olson of Brainerd and Becky (Lee) Vranish of Baxter; three sisters, Janice (Ray) Moritz of Crosby, Mary Mays of Bemidji and Jennifer (Don) Bock of Bemidji; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents, three brothers, Merle, Gary and Christ Olander; two sisters, Phyllis LaBorde and Jeanette Olander.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
