Frederick John Kiphuth

Frederick John “Fred” Kiphuth, age 74 of Deerwood, passed away on October 4, 2024 at his home.  He was born on January 1, 1950 in Minneapolis to Frederick G. and Sophie (Gillis) Kiphuth. Fred was a retired Machinist with Magnum Machining in Deerwood and a former Bus Driver with Reichert in Brainerd and Crosby-Ironton Transportation.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd and the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557 in Deerwood.

Fred is survived by his life partner, Jane Kiphuth of Aitkin; one daughter, Sarah Brown of Lynnwood, WA; three brothers, John (Carol) Niesen of Minnetonka, Joe (Rosemary) Niesen of Cologne, and Jerry (Marjorie) Niesen of Buffalo; and one sister, Sophie (Leonard) Stopleman in Winsted.

Preceding Fred in death are his parents; and three brothers, Jim, Jacob, and Jerome Niesen.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Burial will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
