Gary Smith

Gary Smith age 71 of Deerwood died on May 12, 2019 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.  He was born in Minneapolis on April 21, 1948 to Everett and Jeanne (Scavo) Smith.

Gary is survived by one son, Jesse (Tami) Smith of Deerwood; one daughter, Celina Smith of Forest Lake; five brothers, Leslie (Julie) Smith of Mansfield, OH, Alan Smith of Cuyuna, Daniel Smith of Brainerd, Patrick Smith of Roseau, David Smith of Olivia; one sister, Lynn (Mark) Nilson of Ogilvie; and four grandchildren.

Preceding Gary in death are his parents; one brother, Timothy Smith; two sisters, Marianne and Nancy Smith.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township.
