George Lemuel Blakemore

George L. Blakemore, age 78 of Deerwood died on February 11, 2024 at his home.  He was born in St. Paul to George and Helen (Wardell) Blakemore on June 25, 1945.  He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran serving during Vietnam.  George married Kimberlyn Mitchell on February 14, 2007 in Brainerd.

George is survived by his wife Kim; two sons, Joseph Blakemore and Shawn Blakemore both of Brainerd; one daughter, Michelle Morrell of Waterford, MI; and nine grandchildren.

Preceding George in death are his parents.

A family service is being held.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
