George Bernhoff Johnson

George B. Johnson, age 87 of Bay Lake formerly of Edina died on April 26, 2023.  In his younger years he spent his summers on Bay Lake.  This is where he met his wife of 60 years. George loved working with wood, whether it would be cutting firewood or making furniture.

George is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Mark (Kathy) Johnson of Deerwood and Dave Johnson of Boseman, MT; daughter, Sara (Jon Gotow) Johnson of Denver, CO; sister, Janet Nelson and two grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Lonesome Pine Restaurant (13726 Katrine Drive Deerwood 56444) with a lunch to follow.  If desired memorials are preferred to the Bay Lake Environmental Fund (PO Box 421, Brainerd, MN 56401).  Arrangements Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, MN.
