Geraldine "Gerry" Mattson Belseth
June 9, 1924 — June 27, 2015
Geraldine Mattson Belseth age 91, beloved mother and grandmother of Crosby, formerly of South Minneapolis, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Crosby, MN.
Gerry cherished her faith, enjoyed her family and friends, and loved trying new recipes, traveling, reading and writing letters.
Preceded in death by her parents, Annette and William Wegener; loving husbands, James Mattson and Glenn Belseth; and a brother, Howard Wegener.
Survived by all her beloved children, Peter (Janelle) Mattson, Peggy (Kevin) O'Neill, Paul (Jill) Mattson; grandchildren, Jim and Elizabeth Mattson, Brooke and Cally O'Neill; stepchildren, Beverly (Wally) Gulbrandson, Mike (Diane) Belseth, Marjorie Nelson, Mary (Gerry) Giese, Bruce (Jodi) Belseth; numerous Belseth grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby (600 4th St. SW) on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. A private interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Christian Children's Fund.
A Celebration of Life service will be at the Bethlahem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls, MN on July 20, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service
