Gertrude P. " Trudy" Schuler age 92 of Ironton died on November 17, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Trudy was born on November 25, 1921 in Bloomington to Edward J. and Margaret Koehnen. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby, St. Joseph's CCW and the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Auxiliary in Ironton.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Pam) Schuler of Franklin, AK, Gary (Kathy) Schuler of Olivia and Kevin Schuler of Ironton; two daughters, Joanne (John) Koecheler of Brainerd and Sharon (Ken) Vanderlinde of St. Bonifacious; 1 brother, William (Joyce) Koehnen of Bemidji; three sisters, Lorraine (Robert) LaBatte of Coon Rapids, Marilyn Lloyd of Clear Lake and Barbara (Ken) Rench of Fort Collins, CO; twenty five grandchildren, forty seven great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Gilbert in 1985; 2 sons, Dennis and Richard Schuler; special friend, Robert Oberg and brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Monday, November 24, 2014 at our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm and on Monday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
